If you found a FITA DN × MTTD sticker on your vehicle, or your vehicle has been moved from the roadside, this page explains the process, what the sticker colour means, how to reclaim your vehicle, and how to get your invoice on WhatsApp.
FITA DN works alongside the Ghana Police Service Motor Traffic & Transport Department (MTTD) to recover and safely hold vehicles removed from the road, after accidents, obstructions, or on police direction. Every vehicle we tow carries a numbered sticker so you always know who moved it, where to go, and who to call. No guesswork, no runaround.
An MTTD officer logs the scene and FITA DN dispatches the right recovery truck.
A colour-coded sticker with our WhatsApp and website goes on the vehicle.
Your vehicle is held securely while you arrange to reclaim it.
You contact us, settle the transparent fee, and collect your vehicle.
The sticker colour shows how long your vehicle has been held. The longer it stays, the higher the wait-time factor added to the recovery fee, so it always pays to reclaim early.
Recently towed. No wait-time charge, the sooner you collect, the less you pay.
Held over a month. A 15% wait-time factor now applies to the recovery fee.
Held long-term. A 30% wait-time factor applies. Please reclaim urgently.
Wait-time factors are set transparently and shown as a separate line on your invoice.
Send us your vehicle's number plate and the reference on the sticker (if visible). We'll locate your vehicle straight away.
You'll be asked to confirm you own the vehicle or are authorised to collect it (ID and vehicle documents). This protects you against unauthorised release.
We send a clear invoice to your WhatsApp, the base recovery fee plus any wait-time factor, itemised so there are no surprises.
Once the fee is settled, we confirm the release and you collect your vehicle. Done.
The fastest way to reclaim your vehicle is on WhatsApp.

This is the notice our team leaves at the exact spot your vehicle was towed from — a physical marker so you know immediately what happened and how to get your vehicle back. It carries the official MTTD & FITA DN mark, the station holding your vehicle, and the officer on duty.
Take a photo of it (or peel it off), then reclaim your vehicle using the details below or on WhatsApp. You'll need valid proof of ownership — your Ghana Card and the vehicle's registration / DVLA documents — before it can be released.

FDNo paperwork queues. Ask for your invoice and we'll send it to your WhatsApp, with the base recovery fee and any wait-time factor shown as separate lines, so you see exactly what you're paying and why.

Your vehicle will carry a FITA DN × Ghana Police MTTD sticker showing our WhatsApp number and website. If your vehicle is missing from where you left it, message us with your number plate and we'll confirm.
A wait-time factor is added the longer a vehicle stays in holding, nothing changes under 30 days, then a set percentage applies at 30+ and 90+ days. This is shown as a separate line on your invoice, and reclaiming early avoids it entirely.
Proof that you own the vehicle or are authorised to collect it, typically a valid ID and the vehicle's documents. This is to protect you from unauthorised release.
